Valley Invicta Teaching School Alliance works alongside the Valley Invicta Academies Trust with a similar vision of “Outstanding is Our Expectation: World Class is our Aspiration”
to create an outstanding cluster of primary and secondary schools at the heart of our local community - where all pupils, regardless of background, are offered a broad curriculum by specialist teachers across all ages; thereby enabling children to master the knowledge and skills they need to achieve their full educational and personal potential.
To fulfil this vision we support, enable and train a work force of teachers through School Direct and future Teacher Apprenticeships to provide an outstanding education for all pupils within their classes regardless of background.
All our alliance schools have a strong, inclusive and cohesive ethos reflecting on the Teaching School’s world class vision. As a trainee with us we can ensure that you have full support with clear targets for success. We are on hand to support if things are not quite as you expected to ensure that you become a successful teacher providing an outstanding education for the children in your future classes.
We, as an alliance of schools, have a strong ethos and record of ensuring that all our trainees become successful Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) who are ready to embark upon a successful career in teaching.
Alongside an excellent provision of training take a look below at some of the benefits of working in a VITSA school.
These are not necessarily the same across all schools and it is important that you establish the actual benefits offered by the school you are applying to.
Working in an Outstanding school (OfSTED 2012) offers you the opportunity to work in a high achieving, well respected and forward thinking learning environment.
Reduced Teaching Load
A timetable for teaching staff is based on 42 lessons per fortnight, rather than the 45 in most schools.
Every member of our team is provided with membership to the Benenden Health package to support you if required. Family members can also be added to this plan.
Breaktime Drinks Service
Every break time our housekeeper serves tea and coffee to staff in the staff room.

Two Week Half-term
We have a two week half-term in October meaning that families can get away on holiday when it is cheaper, and everyone is able to have an extra week of relaxation time!
Open Door Policy
The Headteacher, Deputy Headteachers and all members of the Leadership Group have an open door policy meaning that any member of staff is welcome to come and discuss any aspect of school life.
We run an impressive range of trips each year, many overseas, meaning that staff have the opportunity to travel with our students and experience a wide range of opportunities.
Theatre and Fun
We arrange a range of cultural visits, from musical theatre to a panto each year. These are always very popular and open to all sta , students and family members.
We have a detailed and bespoke approach to career development, meaning that we can and will support you at each stage of your development.
A Zumba class gives staff the opportunity of a work out once a week and on Fridays the PE team are on hand to keep you on your toes.
