'NPQML is aimed at individuals with responsibility for leading a team, including leaders of key stage, subject, curriculum, heads of department and pastoral leaders. This includes those who are, or are aspiring to be, a middle leader with cross-school responsibilities e.g. a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE).The qualification will support you in becoming a highly effective middle leader, with the skills, confidence and knowledge to drive successful team performance and improved classroom practice across your team. The support of a 'coach' from your school, usually your line manager or Headteacher, is essential to enable you to make the most of the programme.'

The LLSE NPQML Package Includes :

- All assessment costs are included, excluding re-submission costs and costs incurred when moving past a pre-booked assessment window
LLSE recommends that participants complete this programme within 12 months, however can complete within 18 months where needed
Face to Face days will total 5 full days
- Online learning, we expect that participants allocate 3 hours to complete pre and post face to face tasks throughout the programme
- We suggest that the in school project will form part of your School improvement plan and as such part of your day to day role in school
- We suggest that you meet with an in school coaches before and after each face to face day, totalling around about 10 hours of time to reflect upon your in school project and leadership development

Teaching and Curriculum Excellence:
- Grow excellent, evidence-based teaching in a team and a curriculum that develops pupils academically and prepares them for adult life
- Improve the progress, attainment and behaviour of all pupils, including those who are disadvantaged or have particular needs (for example, Pupil Premium, SEND, EAL or the most able pupils)

Leadership Learning South East use NPQ online as their NPQ assessment agent and works in partnership to ensure clear and logical assessment process. Participants may opt to submit for final assessment at any point within 12-18 months of starting the programme, however there is an expectation that all participants will submit their assessment within an 18 month from start date window.
The assessment comprises of a project style submission detailing your development as a leader throughout the programme. You will create a 4,500 word report based on your School Project where you will have been working with your team to improve pupil progress and attainment and your team's capabilities.
Your school-based coach will also be required to contribute by verifying your submission and supporting with further evidence.
- Should an assessment be returned as 'not ready', a re-assessment fee will be charged to your school
- If the participant fails to upload their assessment on the confirmed date a £30 administration fee will be invoiced to their school
** Category 5 and 6 Scholarships available to applications in the 2019/2020 financial year
For a limited period, participants from the following areas will receive full scholarships for any of the NPQ Programmes :
Ashford, Crawley, Gravesham, Hastings, Lewes, Medway and Thanet.
The DfE has recently confirmed that £10 million of the Teaching and Leadership Innovation Fund (TLIF) has been set aside to support teachers and leaders in challenging areas to access the reformed National Professional Qualifications (NPQs).
This funding will cover the full participant costs of the course for teachers working in an Opportunity Area or a priority area (defined by the DfE as a category 5 or 6 ‘Achieving Excellence’ area).
To be eligible for a scholarship, the participant must be:
- Working in a school in one of the above areas or working in MATs or dioceses which cover those areas
- Do not already hold the NPQ for which they are applying
- Not previously have dropped out before completing the NPQ for which they are applying.
